This is a pitcher my wife picked up a while back. Love this. Have passed on many Italian pottery pieces over the years, but this is special in my book. The rough textured finish (sand added to the glaze before firing?) combined with the vertical colors and incised lines really is attractive. To top it off the raised turquoise floral design with the shiney glaze (Majolica?) is quite an eye catcher. Have seen a few pieces here and there (same design, different items) but no information as to who made this wonderful pottery, if there is a name for it, and when it was made. Some on line are saying 1950's. Looking for info.
