I have had this oven for at least 30 years. Used it in my campfire cooking phase and it worked well with coals. But what is it originally?
It is heavy duty sheet metal, approximately 16"wide and tall and abou 24" deep with a 4" stove pipe on the back. There is a recessed area under the front shelf in which the narrower grate fits. I assumed that was to hold the coals and allow air in. This grate is marked "Majestic", but the only other mark anywhere is on the bottom and is "79". The grate has a lid that fits it exactly. The other grate slides on a shelf in a couple of possible positions. The front is a roll top.
Someone suggested that it is a gas salamander, but I see no gas connection anywhere.
Now that I am past my campfire cooking stage, I would like to sell it, but it would be helpful to know what it is!
